What we hold on nylon

Six numbers a buyer asks for before sending a drawing. Everything here is
already published on this page — nothing is extrapolated.

$$Where nylon sits against the other 22 materials
اقرأ هذا أولاً. Process, maximum part size and lead time are
identical on all 23 material pages — they describe the shop, not the material. They sit
here as a one-line constant instead of taking a column each in a nine-column table, which
is how they were published before. The three that genuinely change material by material
are tolerance, minimum wall and price band.

S2 · Published subtype

The nylon subtype published on this page

The subtype this site publishes for nylon, and the family it belongs to. The third column repeats the applications named on the page it replaces — nothing added.

Subtype · as published in the Nylon At a Glance table

Subtype publishedعائلة البوليمراتApplications named on this page
نايلون (30٪ مملوءة بالزجاج)Polyamide (PA), glass-filledAutomotive, toys, tents, ropes, conveyors, seat belts, clothing
Only one subtype is published. The At a Glance table this
page replaces lists a single entry — Nylon (30% Glass-Filled). Unfilled nylon, other
glass loadings and impact-modified grades are not published here. That is a limit on
what the page lists, not on what the shop quotes: name the grade or the property you
need on the drawing and it is confirmed in writing.

S3 · Which polymer?

Four questions, then a material

This page used to answer none of these. Each card points at a page that
already exists on this site — written before this redesign, and previously linked from
nowhere on this page.

Does the part have to take repeated impact without cracking?
The two pages to compare are this one, ABS and polycarbonate — all three are on this site, and the choice is usually made on the impact the part has to survive.
Compare the polymers →
Does the part slide, rub or wear against something?
Delrin and PTFE both have pages here and both are chosen for sliding contact. This page and those two are the three to compare.
See the polymer pages →
Will it see chemicals, or sit outdoors for years?
PVC and PTFE are the two pages here that turn up for chemical service. The machinability guide covers why the resin, not the machine, sets the cutting data.
Read the machinability guide →
Prototype first, or a production part?
The part is the same cut either way. The moulding and printing pages cover the routes a machined part can move to once volume changes.

S4 · Machining & tolerance

What governs the part you get

The published tolerance on this page is Not lower than  ±0.25 mm (±0.010"),
on the drawing, to ISO 2768. Where a feature needs better than that, say so on the
drawing — that conversation belongs before the tool goes in, not after.

S8 · FAQ

7 questions nylon buyers actually ask

Every answer traceable: published figures from this page, published pages
from this site. No new claims.

Which nylon grades can you machine?
The At a Glance table this page replaces publishes one subtype — Nylon (30% Glass-Filled) — and that is the only nylon grade listed on this page. Unfilled and other glass loadings are not listed, which is a limit on what is published, not on what is quoted: name the grade or the property you need on the drawing and it is confirmed in writing.
What tolerance can you hold?
±0.25 mm, on the drawing, to ISO 2768 — the figure published on this page. Where a feature needs tighter than that, mark it on the drawing so it is priced and inspected as a controlled feature.
What is the smallest wall and the largest part?
Minimum wall is 0.80 mm. Maximum envelope is 200 × 80 × 100 cm. Both are shop-wide constants, identical on all 23 material pages.
How fast is a nylon part?
3 to 10 days, with complex parts at the far end. Post-processing, if you ask for it, is a separate step and adds to that window.
Which finish should I ask for?
The cards in the finishes section above are the polymer set — تلميع, تفجير حبة و as-machined / deburring among them. The full list of 20 is at التشطيبات السطحية.
ما هي الملفات التي يجب عليّ إرسالها؟
STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, SLDPRT, STL, DXF, DWG, PDF, DOCX, JPG, JPEG, PNG or ZIP. A 2D PDF plus the model is the combination that gets quoted fastest.
هل سيتم الحفاظ على سرية رسوماتي؟
Uploads stay with the people quoting and making the part. If you need a mutual NDA in place first, say so on نموذج الاتصال and it is arranged before files change hands.

الخطوة التالية

Send the drawing — we come back with the material call and the price

Upload the model and the 2D PDF. You get a manufacturability note, a note on the resin if the drawing leaves it open, and a price.
